Taliban Kill 3 of a Family in Helmand
LASHKARGAH – Three persons of a family, a police official and a militant have been killed in different violence related incidents in southern Helmand province, officials said Tuesday. Abdul AhadChopa, provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Taliban killed three persons of a family on allegation that the male was working with the government, in Sarakhakh locality on the outskirts of Greshak district.
Akhtar Mohammad, his wife and their son were killed in their homes by militants who fled the scene after committing the crime, he added.He said the family had no contacts with the government and was living in the same village where people last year launched uprising against the Taliban.MullaJumaGul, a militant commander, was killed and his two associates were injured when the mine they were planting exploded in Kotozo area.
Umar Zwak, governor’s spokesman, said armed bike riders shot dead a policeman in Lashkargah city last evening.No one could be detained in connection of the killing of a policeman but police had started investigation to nab the culprits, he added.Taliban have not yet commented on the incidents but the insurgents’ group Spokesman QariYousufAhmadi said four border policemen were killed in Marja district the other day.
