Planting To Make the Afghanistan looks Green
Kabul- Initiative planting by Youth for development association and cooperation of YLF and AELSO Organization On 11th of April 2013/ 22nd of Hamal 1392, A planting of tree and Flower campaign was held by YDA with the cooperation of YLF and AELSO organization, and with support of District 3 of Municipality of Kabul,
The Plantation got underway in the Nawroz Park of Kabul, and extended to Dehmazang square and Debori square,
The program was featured by Miss. India, the daughter of former King of Afghanistan, Late King Amanulallah Khan, Sharifullah Kamawal afghan parliament member with members of YDA (Youth for Development Association) and YLF (Youth Leader Forum) and with support of District 3 labors.
Planted 120 sapling of trees and 40 flowering shrubs, There were 60 oriental plane tree (Chinar tree) and 60 pine tree (Najo tree), which was planted to the left and right sides of Nawroz Park, and 40 ornamental plants, which were planted in Dehmazang square and Debori square, Flowering were shrubs of Rosa Family (Rose) that is ornamental plant that are planted for decorative purposes.
Having campaign of Plantation is one of the most basic of environmental acts. It also happens to be a smart economic decision. The trees increase property values and can significantly reduce heating and cooling costs if placed carefully. They also help to reduce air pollution, improve soil and water quality and shield living areas from noise. It embraces the beauty of nature, helps clean the environment from the moment of planting forward, and sets one’s mind on the well-being of future generations. (The Afghanistan express daily)
