Khalili Calls Craftsmen, Industrialists Effective In Economic Growth of Afghanistan
Kabul – Some craftsmen and member of carpet selling union, met with Mohammad Karim Khalili and shared their problems of the carpet selling union and the industrialists of carpet manufacturing employees with him asking government attention towards resolving their problems. They argued that the craftsmen of carpet are facing manifold problems.
They asked for creation of better facilities for production of carpets and sought government support in carpet producing sphere. They noted that investment in this respect in reality is support to the traditional industry of the country that besides economic growth create jobs for the jobless.
They added that land plots has been provided as per the order of the president of the country in Arzan Qaemat area of Kabul, but the plots were not placed at their disposal and they were provided other plots of land in Padola area of the city.
They requested that the cost of the provided land should regulate on installment basis so they can play the land price. Mohammad Karim Khalili while expressing appreciation over the efforts exerted by the carpet producers and sellers in promoting the industry he emphasized on government measures for provision of better facilities for them. He called the craftsmen very effective in flourishing the economy in Afghanistan and emphasized on resolving of their problems. (BNA)
