China Supports Afghanistan-US Security Agreement
Kabul – China announced Beijing’s support towards Afghanistan’s strategic relations with the regional countries and United States of America. Officials in presidential palace said China’s president during his meeting with president Hamid Karzai extend his support towards Afghanistan’s strategic foreign relations.
Aimal Faizi spokesman for president Hamid Karzai said the president of China extended his support towards Afghanistan’s foreign relations with the regional and foreign countries, specifically with United States of America in a bid to bring peace and stability in the region. Mr. Faizi further added that China announced it’s support towards Afghanistan-US bilateral security agreement.
Faizi also added that president Hamid Karzai and his Chinese counterpart discussed steps to further improve bilateral relations between Kabul and Beijing in all aspects. He said three agreements were signed in the presence of the two leaders including economic and technical support agreement where China will provide financial aid to Afghanistan to support projects which will be jointly launched by the two nations.
According to Aimal Faizi, the second agreement was based on extradition of prisoners and the third agreement was signed to improve cultural ties between Afghanistan and China. China also announced it’s support towards the Afghan-led peace process and said China was ready to play it’s role in Afghan peace talks, presidential palace said in a statement. (Khaama)
