Candidates Warned of Disqualification
KABUL: The Independent Election (IEC) on Saturday warned presidential runners of disqualification if they trampled on relevant laws.
IEC spokesman Noor Muhammad told reporters in Kabul both presidential hopefuls should avoid raking up ethnic and religious issues during their campaigns.
He asked the contenders and their campaign managers to canvass keeping in view the election laws and rules. In case of violations, the IEC reserved the right to disqualify any candidate, he added.
