A Night with Buddha
Bamyan- ‘A night with Buddha’ is the title of an Art-Cultural festival, for first time was launched voluntarily by the group called ‘Yadawaran’ on March 11, 2013, on 12th anniversary of Buddha destruction, the program was consist of different parts like academic meeting about Buddha, film festival, photo festival, theater performance, poem and music gathering, painting exhibition, Khoshnawisi (Dari art of writing) and also a demonstration along with igniting lanterns in order to condemn Buddha’s destruction and persuade maintains and preserving the world cultural heritage (Buddha) .The festival was held with assistance of local governmental and non-governmental organizations.
more than 200 participants most of them were Civil Society activist, lettered and governmental and non-governmental authorities, The massage and objectives of ‘Yadawarn’ group was read by Ms.Maryam Sharifi. The ceremony was presented by Mr. Sayed Reza Mohammadi, the famous poet, and continued with lectures of some quests. All the lecturers were emphasized on the importance of art-cultural history of Buddha and maintenance of this national and international worth. Prosecute of the destruction elements were demanded by the lecturers as well. It should be mentioned that the representative of ‘Yadawaran’ group also present the festival in the countries, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Australia and Canada.
This festival was very welcomed by public and participants, Yadawaran group intends to keep expanding and improving the festival in coming years. (TAED)
