7 Schools Buildings Completed In Takhar
TALOQAN: Construction work on seven schools, benefitting 30,000 students, has been completed in northern Takhar province, an official said on Saturday.
The school buildings have been constructed in Chal, Bangi, Shakash, Rustaq and Cha Aab districts at a cost of $3 million provided by the German Development Bank (KFW) and other international donors.
Across Takhar, there are 648 schools, where 300,000 students are imparted education by 8,000 teachers, according to the education director.
Abdul Qadir Afghan said more buildings for schools would be built soon. Fifty-two schools are currently without buildings.
