5 Afghan footballers, 3 officials injured in Maldives road accident
At least five Afghan football players were injured along with three officials of Afghanistan football federation (AFF) following a road accident in Maldives.
The incident took place after the Afghan team left the stadium and their bus collided with other vehicles, officials in Afghanistan football federation (AFF) said.
The officials further added that the football players and officials have suffered minor injuries and their health condition is better.
Islamuddin Amiri, Faisal Zakhi Zada and Mustafa Azadzoi, Belal Arzoo, Arash Hatifi and Faisal Sakhi Zada are among the players who were injured following the incident.
Afghan football coach Mohammad Yousuf Kargar, Farid Molaye and Syed Ali Kazemi were also injured in the road accident and were taken to hospital for treatment, the officials said.
In the meantime, the Afghanistan football federation president, Keramuddin Keram said Mustafa Azadzoi sustain injury in his leg while Afghan football coach has sustain injury in his shoulder.
Mr. Keram further added that the other team members including captain Islam Amiri have sustain minor injuries and their health condition are better.
